We're all are over the moon with the news. As the campaign gained speed, we've had such an amazing outpouring of support from backers and collaborators both, so I am pleased to announce that we now have an incredible stretch goal lined up. The stretch goal is important for a few reasons. The obvious is that we can do more with more funds. The less fun side is that the stretch goal will help cover the fees that are taken out from what we've raised, and provide a buffer against any pledges that may not go through when it comes processing time at the end of the campaign.
If we reach at least $35,000, we can fly Mistress Midori to New Orleans to teach. This has come together delightfully quickly so we're still working out the particulars, but we're hoping to be able to host her for multiple workshops, with a special offer for our Kickstarter backers. Additionally, because we are serious about giving back to the community, we'd like to donate a (considerable) portion of the proceeds from the workshop(s) to the New Orleans Women & Children's Shelter.
I also have one more note about Fête de Cupid! This Kickstarter is still the best place to buy tickets (especially the VIP option, which is going quickly). We are offering Fête de Cupid tickets at a special rate through Kickstarter only. The remaining tickets will be going up on EventBrite after the Kickstarter closes, but the prices will be a bit higher.

From the beginning, it has been so important for us to create a second home in New Orleans where we could also host events. Our clients in San Francisco love the excuse to dress up, and we know New Orleans would also jump at the chance. We had hoped to throw a big opening party in New Orleans for the shop – and likely still will, once a lease is secured! Fête de Cupid is our version of a barn-raising, Kickstarter style, and we're working with Scott Levkoff of Mystic Midway to make it happen.
Fête de Cupid will be hosted by House of Aeon in Alameda. This is a rare opportunity to party in a fantastically restored Victorian mansion and revel in an array of fine entertainments. We have everything from live music (Jill Tracy, McPuzo & Trotsky, Claire Gendler), circus & variety (Dwoira Galilea, Larissa Archer, Szandora LaVey), and classic burlesque (Ava Lanche, Edie Eve), with hosts Katya Smirnoff-Skyy and Ifn Whendy.
There are two levels of ticket available: General Admission and VIP. Both are available through this Kickstarter, for $50 and $100 respectively. VIP ticket holders will have access to our Victorian Den of Vice, with exclusive performances including a very special sonic seance hosted by Jill Tracy will host a very special sonic seance.
