Still waiting on 58 surveys!
about 5 years ago – Mon, May 13, 2019 at 05:52:06 PM

Autumn, Kalico and I are freshly returned from a long weekend of trunk shows up in Washington state! We had a great time and put a lot of corsets on a lot of great people.

I've been investigating some loose ends since returning to the shop (straight from SFO) earlier today. One of those loose ends was, naturally, BackerKit. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting on 58 survey responses! If you've been reading my updates regularly, you're probably not one of the 58... but if you ARE, please check your email for the survey link from BackerKit! You can also send me a direct message here on Kickstarter if you need any help.

Tomorrow, when I have a bit more brain power, I'll assess which tiers the missing surveys fall across. I'll be extrapolating size distribution to order extra shirts and hoodies, but the Finishing Belts are a much bigger concern as those are being stitched to order.

That's all the words my travel weary brain can conjure at the moment! More updates soon...

Reminder about surveys
about 5 years ago – Mon, May 06, 2019 at 08:54:40 PM

About 2/3 of the surveys are now in! Please keep those responses coming. Again, the email will come from BackerKit and go to the same address associated with your Kickstarter account. Or, if you have a BackerKit account, simply log in and it will show you any surveys awaiting response from you.

There are just a couple of surveys that bounced back, and while I'll be attempting to reach out to those people via direct message here on Kickstarter, I fear that message may go the same way as the email from BackerKit. So if you can't find your survey, please contact me!

I've had a couple questions about sizing for the t-shirts/hoodies. We're using a local screen printer for those (another SFMade member!) and the exact items we order will be based on whether their supplier has the appropriate inventory in stock. So I do have certain shirts/hoodies earmarked, and their availability will be confirmed when I place the order (after receiving the results of the surveys, so I can get the counts for each size).

Cheers,

Please Check Your Email for Your BackerKit Survey!
about 5 years ago – Fri, May 03, 2019 at 03:40:24 PM

It's official – all the surveys have gone out! Please check your email for your survey from BackerKit (not Kickstarter) and fill it out ASAP. 114 of you have already completed them – thank you! That means we're about a third of the way there, which is fantastic. For those who have not, please let me know if you have any questions, either via Kickstarter direct message or through BackerKit.

One other, unrelated note – if you are up in Bellingham or Seattle, WA, we're coming to you next weekend! We'll be at Social Fabric for the Bellingham Wine Walk on May 10th and at Pretty Parlor in Seattle on the 11th. And yes! We'll be taking consultations for full couture ensembles as well. Please spread the word to any friends you have in those areas – we'd love to meet as many people as possible at the trunk shows. We're bringing a power team of all three designers! That's Autumn, Kalico, and myself.

BackerKit Smoke Test Sent
about 5 years ago – Thu, May 02, 2019 at 12:38:10 AM

This is a mini update to say that the surveys are prepped and have passed their review. I just hit the button to send out our "smoke test" – that is, the test batch of surveys to make sure everything's working the way it should.

46 backers will have just received an email from BackerKit with the link to their survey. Once those start coming in, we'll double check that everything's looking good, and send out the rest!

Thanks for your patience!

Fête de Cupid tomorrow! Clarification about event time
about 5 years ago – Fri, Apr 26, 2019 at 11:20:57 PM

Hello lovelies,

This time tomorrow, I'll be putting on my face and getting ready to lace up for FÊTE DE CUPID! And it's all possible because of you.

I've had a couple questions about the start time, so I want to clarify for you, plus I have one more special note at the end of this missive...

VIP early entry begins at 7pm! There are exclusive entertainments from 7 to 8pm, with the green fairy in attendance for your welcome as well as a serving of Ta Bouche chocolates. Then, at 8pm, doors open for GA!

Additional tickets are available on EventBrite until noon tomorrow and will also be available at the door from 8pm at the Fête. Here's where the timing confusion seems to come from. Because EventBrite was originally only set up to sell GA tickets, the start time is listed on EventBrite as 8pm. Todi then manually input all Kickstarter tickets into EventBrite. So if you're a VIP, disregard the start time listed by EventBrite on your ticket – arrive at 7pm for contortionist Dwoira Galilea, belly dancer Larissa Archer, and harpist William Faulkner.

Oh, and one more thing... if that VIP situation (which includes a gold beverage wristband) sounds appealing to you, let me know ASAP! A couple of VIPs have let us know they are unable to make it, or have volunteered to model or otherwise work at the event. I don't want those VIP slots to go to waste when they sold out so fast here on Kickstarter! I can change your pledge level in BackerKit and you can pay the difference in ticket price when surveys go out next week (for real this time). I don't want to get your hopes up but I do want to know who to contact should there be any further openings.

I hope those of you whom I've had the chance to talk to over the course of the campaign (and its aftermath) come say hi to me at the Fête tomorrow! I'll be wearing my pink and black "disco dots" and have bright teal hair ;)
