TICKETS

To make getting your ticket(s) easier, your name and email will be entered into the Eventbrite system as they appear on Kickstarter. Soda and water are free. Both offers include staff tips, and both must be purchased from Dark Garden either when you arrive with the check in hostess or in advance at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fete-de-cupid-tickets-56685091635

Move-In & Survey Status!
about 5 years ago – Mon, Apr 08, 2019 at 02:29:01 AM

Whew! Annabelle and company have been fantastically productive getting the shop and the flat set up in New Orleans! She's been sharing lots of fun photos and even videos with us, some of which you may have seen on our Instagram. I'll post those below, but first I want to loop you in about the surveys:

The first step to sending out the surveys is making sure all the items are properly input – photos, description, variants like sizes, etc. For those that aren't fully designed, I've created images that show you the design direction we're going in. (Mostly that means the robe and the scarf.) That means you now have a visual representation (of some sort) for every singe reward, to help you decide if you want to add anything onto your original pledge!

Now, item creation gets tricky where options expanded after I originally input the item – meaning the new color options for the pins and the Finishing Belts. I tried editing the existing items to reflect the broadened varieties but it's showing up with impossible combinations (monogram pin solid-metal colors for enamel corset pins, for example) and also not indicating those choices correctly on the back end (someone late pledged a pin! great! but which color?). And while I think I know why these things are happening, I don't actually know how to get in deep enough to fix it. So that's been on hold over the weekend, just until the nice folks at BackerKit can see and respond to my series of "what am I doing / did I break it" emails. Given the popularity of the pins, I'm also wanting to put together pin multi-packs. (And yes, they'll be available in the shops later as well!)

In the meantime, I can review the "Survey Settings" for each level, which covers basic questions like, "Do we actually need to send a survey?" and "Are we collecting a shipping address?" I can also create the pledge questions. I basically just can't actually send the surveys until the above issues with the items are sorted out. I hope you understand and forgive the continued delay! It's all in the name of more choices and better clarity when the surveys do go out.

So! That's where we are with that! I'll sign off and leave you with videos and photos of the New Orleans location.

Moving into 3528 Magazine Street, New Orleans!
about 5 years ago – Fri, Mar 29, 2019 at 04:32:46 PM

3528 Magazine Street has been freshly painted for us! Annabelle cleared out our little storage unit of the furniture she'd acquired for the new shop and moved those pieces in yesterday. Check out the video and photos she sent us! (The wallpaper runner seen by the crown molding will be replaced with a different wallpaper of our choosing.) I can't wait to see it in person.

Autumn will also be heading out to New Orleans from April 18th to 23rd! She's putting her personal touch on opening the new location. Let us know if you'd like to consult with Miss Dark Garden herself!

More exciting updates and (at long last) the reward surveys will be very soon!
